Starter Mode is a more simple way to use the LG Lucid 2, as it allows you to quickly access your settings, applications, favorite contacts and more in an easy and convenient format, therefore this mode is very useful for young children or people that aren’t familiar with smartphones.

Are you an experienced smartphone user? Don’t worry - you can Switch-Back to the Standard Mode any time you want.

    Switching to Starter Mode

    1. Go to the Home screen and press the Menu key.
    2. Then tap Settings -> touch Mode change -> select Starter –> tap Apply -> read the prompt and tap OK.
    3. To Switch-Back to Standard Mode, go back to the Home screen, press the Menu key -> tap Settings -> touch Mode change -> select Standard –> tap Apply -> read the prompt and tap OK.

Navigating to Multiple Home Screens (in Starter Mode)

    1. Go to the main Home screen and if you want to access the Home screens to the right, swipe from right to left.
    2. To return to the main Home screen, swipe from left to right.
    3. When you want to access the Home screens to the left, swipe from left to right.
    4. When you want to return back to the main Home screen, just press the Menu key.
Note: With Starter mode, you no longer need to set up apps or widgets on your Home screens.

Adding or Deleting a Favorite Contact (in Starter Mode)

    1. Go to the Home screen and tap Contacts.
    2. Then select the contact you want add or delete from your favorites list.
    3. To add the contact to your favorites, tap the Star icon located at the top right corner of the screen.
    4. To remove a contact from your favorites, tap the Star icon again.

Accessing the Settings (in Starter Mode)

    1. From the Home screen, swipe left to go to My settings.
Note: “My Settings” widget will give you a quick access to the most commonly used changed settings, such as ringtones, wallpapers or screen brightness.
    2. Then tap Settings and you can begin to make the desired adjustments (connectivity, security, display options, etc).

Adding or Deleting Widgets (in Starter Mode)

    1. Go to the Home screen and tap the Plus sign (+) icon.
    2. Then swipe left or right at the top of the screen to navigate to an open Home screen.
    3. At the bottom of the screen you’ll see the available app -> scroll left or right until you see the app that you want to add.
    4. Then tap and drag the desired location on the screen.
    5. When you’re finished and want to exit this menu, press the Home key.
    6. If you want to remove an app that you added, you need to tap and hold the app -> then drag it to the Remove icon located at the top right side of the screen and release the app.
