Using Cell to Connect to ISP

About 5 years ago I used my Sprint cell phone to connect my laptop to my
dial up ISP. It was very slow but served the purpose. I'm thinking of
getting Verizon Wireless service and I'd like to know which phone would work
best for this function. Is this the best way to get on line in a mobile
    situation?

Thanks in Advance for Your Help,
    Dave

Most of their newer phones should be able to do this. I have a v60 and
it works fine. The only problem with the V60 is that it's not 1x
capable, so it uses the slower speeds.

Also, you don't need an ISP--Verizon will be the ISP when dialing in via
    VZW service.
