The Motorola Xoom may have been launched way to early according to some. The Verizon Motorola Xoom was to receive a hardware update to bring the Xoom up to 4G LTE from the launched version of 3G. This hardware update was to take place within 90 days from the time of launch and as you can clearly see, that just did not happen.

The photo above tells us that the Motorola Xoom will indeed receive the hardware update, but it will take place in September. For those who already own the Motorola Xoom and want to get the update, you will have to ship your tablet in to Verizon, be without your device for at least 6 working days, in which Verizon will add the updated hardware and send it back to you.
