It looks like Verizon will soon be discontinuing several of their handsets due to possible low sales or just to make room for the new handsets arriving for Verizon. The handsets that are rumored to be leaving Verizon are the: LG Ally, LG Vortex, LG Fathom, BlackBerry Storm 2, LG Cosmos and Samsung Convoy.

The LG Ally and the LG Vortex are Verizon's two Android handsets. The BlackBerry Storm 2 and the LG Fathom are two devices that runs on Windows Mobile 6.5.3 and the LG Cosmos and Samsung Convoy are Verizon's featurephones.

Not only is Verizon eliminating these handsets, but they are also saying farewell to two of its Wi-Fi hotspots....the ZTE Five Spot and the MiFi 2200.

No exact date has been mentioned to when these devices and hotspots will be totally eliminated, but there may be a possibility that Verizon may slash prices on the devices to rid them from the inventory.
