Both. It depends what you want, and how soon you want it. I usually find
resellers have new stuff and no bid buy (buy it now) stuff, while a lot of
the stuff from individuals does the bidding thing and may/or may not be
used. For myself, I travel about 11 1/2 months out of the year, so want it
now while I am at a certain address, rather than sometime later when I may
    have moved.
There are many many other places to buy cellphones from (resellers), I just
mentioned ebay since the OP had specifically asked about it. If I want
something fast, I go with straight resellers (not ebay), medium quick, I go
with ebay, forever and a day, private party on ebay.

OK, what I am looking to do is to purchase a phone outright and then
activate on Verizon's network. I am under contract and cancelling will
    cost a bunch. I don't want the fees. I actually like Verizon's
SERVICE, their EQUIPMENT sucks. Right now I have the Kyocera Slider.
The phone has some great features and all, but for me it is just kind
of klunky to use. I like the bar phones that are much more accessible.
I was in particular interested in Kyocera's 3200 series. I think they
offer one that is PTT and color (3250). I'm not so much interested in
PTT, but I wouldn't object to giving it a try. On the other hand, I
would like to the color screen, I do like the visual display.

I wonder where I could purchase this, as verizon doesn't even offer
it. I suppose if I were forced, I could go back to the KX414
phone...but I'd really like something a bit better or atleast try
    something that looks better.

I am also still looking...I know that a lot of people do like the flip
phones I'm just not one of them. I appreciate all the responses!

    Thanks,

    Jeremy
