Fifth largest Carrier?

I just compared wireless carriers at www.pickwireless.com . I found out that Alltel is the fifth largest wireless carrier in US. Is this right?

 

That would be correct

They are starting to act like a national provider even though they don't cover that many metros yet.

 

What are Alltel's rates like, and do they cover the Dallas Metroplex?

 

Alltel's rates are slightly higher than T-mobile, cingular and verizon. You can go to www.pickwireless.com and compare. From their coverage map, they do cover Dallas Metro.

 

Hi, I saw a news on www.pickwireless.com saying that Alltel will sell Cellular One brand to another company. I thought cellular one was bought by AT&T long time ago. Does Cellular One still exist?

I have a Kyocera KX1 SoHo phone, with Alltel's prepay Simple Freedom service. I just activated the phone today, and it can receive and make calls. But when I try to use the iternet it trys to connect and then says: HTTP error 407 Proxy Authentication. What does that mean?

You need to dail *611 call customer service and buy internet service from Alltel.

 

Can I do that with Simple Freedom? I dont have any Axcess services. If it does work would I be charged the 25 cents per minute on the internet every minute I was on?

 

does anyone know how i can get an unlocked palm treo 650 or UTStarcom PPC6700 for alltel?
