Info Why most Verizon Reps come off as jerks

    The answer is very simple, IGNORANT CUSTOMERS

    Ive seen a lot of posts complaining about Verizon reps coming off as rude or arrogant, well IMO, customers have a lot to do with this, here is my small list.

    1. People treat the wireless industry different then other companies. Ive never seen someone drop there TV in water and go back to Best Buy and demand a new one because its not working. Ive also never seen someone smash there car into a tree and take it back to the dealer with no auto-insurance and demand another one. Its quite absurd the way that customers act. Ive been a customer at Wal-Mart for years, this does not however entitle me to free things. Customers act like complete fools when they come into Verizon locations.

    2. Commission. Verizon Reps work on commission. So when you buy your phone online, to get an instant rebate, FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS that come with the phone to activate it! Do not waste a reps time who depends on selling to activate your phone because you're too lazy or ignorant to follow instructions. The same goes for buying your phone at an agent location to get a better price. Go back to the store that you purchased your phone at to begin with if you have a problem with it. Its funny when customers buy there phone online, then stop it the store 3 times a week because they have questions or need technical support. Nobody in the store wants to help you if this is the case.

    3. Pay attention to your bill. Don't come in the store complaining because you went over your minutes or because little johnny downloaded ringtones. If you hang up Christmas lights during the holidays, do you call your electric company and tell them that you're not paying because you typically don't use that much electric? NO, YOU DON'T!!! Stop being irresponsible!!

    4. Stop threatening to switch carriers every time you don't get your own way. Verizon Wireless has more customers then any other carrier. Do you really think a rep gives a crap when you're threatening to switch because you cant upgrade your phone early? I hate to tell you this, but they don't. They would rather you get out of there face so they can move on to the next customer who actually wants to buy something that they will make money from.

    5. Stop complaining because you cant upgrade your phone early. By now, you all know the guidelines for upgrading. Stop coming in the store and acting stupid because you made the mistake of purchasing a crappy phone because you didn't want to pay for data.

    6. If you don't want to pay for data, stop complaining that a phone requires it, and purchase a different phone. If all you do is talk and text, then why does it matter what phone you have!?!

    7. No you cant have a different model phone because the one you got has multiple issues. Verizon doesn't build the phones. The warranty will cover any defects you have. It is a MANUFACTURES WARRANTY. Which means you get the same phone. MOTOROLA does not cover you to get a SAMSUNG phone if yours is acting up.
